2. Cranberry Juice

Cranberry juice is a popular traditional remedy that helps decrease UTI recurrence in women by 26%. This beneficial effect is due to the presence of a compound known as A-type proanthocyanidin (PAC), which is abundantly present in cranberries. This component inhibits E. coli bacteria from adhering to the urinary tract walls, aiding in eliminating bacteria from the system. One thing to note here when choosing cranberry juice is to opt for unsweetened ones and aim to take up ¼ cup of cranberry extract or unsweetened juice two to three times daily.

3. Foods Rich In Vitamin C

Incorporating foods rich in Vitamin C is a useful addition for treating and managing the signs and symptoms of UTI. During this period, you have bacteria in your urinary tract, and the urinary output has a higher pH level, making it more acidic.
